About the Conference

We warmly invite you to take part in the 30th International Scientific Conference “SOCIETY AND TECHNOLOGY 2026” and contribute to a meaningful academic dialogue by presenting your scientific or professional work. DIT 2026 provides a space for the exchange of scientific and professional insights, as well as interdisciplinary research that explores the dynamic and complex interactions between technology, media, and contemporary migration processes. We particularly welcome contributions that reflect on technological advancement, social mobility, communication practices, and the far-reaching economic, social, political, and cultural impacts of migration.

Join us in Zagreb to share ideas, connect with colleagues from diverse disciplines, and be part of a constructive discussion on the societal transformations shaping our time.

EU Micro-Credential for Lifelong Learning

As part of the DiT 2026 conference, participants will have the opportunity to obtain a micro-credential. The micro-credential is awarded within the thematic framework entitled: Deliberation – Challenges of Contemporary Political Communication and Local Self-Government.

This micro-credential recognises the acquisition of targeted academic and professional competences related to deliberative processes, modern political communication practices, and the role of local self-government in contemporary democratic systems.

Professional Development Credits

Attendance will be officially recorded for the purpose of awarding professional development and continuing education credits by relevant professional chambers. Credits will be awarded to active participants attending the conference on-site or online, as well as to passive participants attending on-site. Passive on-site participants are kindly requested to bring their professional chamber membership card.

The aim of the conference is to critically examine and discuss contemporary global migration dynamics, with particular emphasis on technological development and the role of media. Special attention is given to the ways in which digital technologies and artificial intelligence influence social mobility and economic transformation, as well as the opportunities and challenges they create for individuals, communities, and societies.
